I am a board certified Massage Therapist, certified by the San Francisco School of Massage. I began practicing bodywork in 2006. Originally licensed by the City of San Francisco, I am now practicing in Ann Arbor, licensed by the state of Michigan.
I believe bodywork is an ongoing and shared learning process between client & therapist, allowing for growth and discovery of one’s unique self. I look forward to working with you!
In west Ann Arbor, just off of W. Stadium Blvd. at 1945 Pauline Blvd., Ste. 15 (main level, inside the 2-story building on the Pauline Plaza* lot).
Plenty of parking.
*Pauline Plaza is near the intersection of Pauline Blvd. & W. Stadium, across the street (diagonally) from the TCF bank at that corner. There is a driveway entrance on either side of the complex.
Offering various techniques of bodywork:
• Swedish Massage
The most typical and popular modality of massage, intended to bring nourishment to the tissues, deep relaxation to the muscles and calmness to the mind.
• Deep Tissue & Integrative Bodywork
Deep Tissue massage is available, however, I often implement elements of Deep Tissue and other various bodywork modalities (e.g., trigger point, Thai, stretching, etc.) together within my Swedish massage sessions in order to focus on specific areas of concern (...depending on client's preference). I usually find that when most people request "deep tissue massage," they are actually looking for a massage with deep pressure. (A full body massage of actual deep tissue work would require a number of hours and would have very little if any of the element of relaxation.)
*Please Note: A draping/covering is required at all times;
NO sensual, erotic or any otherwise sexual massage service is offered.
• Specialized bodywork or Touch Therapy (on an Out-Call Basis)
I may travel to facilities, hospitals, or private residences in the area, on a case-by-case basis, to work with the elderly or others who are impaired or medically frail... those with restricted range of motion (in bed or wheelchair).
This intensely focused yet gentle, soothing work can be beneficial to your loved one in helping to increase circulation, exercise unused/atrophied muscles, help reduce cramping & spasms, as well as having a calming effect emotionally.
• Acutely focused work with patients in Hospice Care.
Tues-Sat, 11AM - 4PM, (last appointment ending by 5 or 5:30)
I can accommodate consistent clients with somewhat later session times.
* Cash or check are preferred forms of payment. (Paypal or Venmo may also be used; No credit card transactions at this time.)
** Please make appointment changes 24 hours in advance; I will do the same.
(*See notes under 'Hours & Scheduling.')
*** If you have a cold or other sickness, you must change your appointment. I will not be able to work with you at the scheduled time if you are sick when you arrive.
